Parent Services Center is funded through the generous
donations of individuals, businesses and local foundations. Every effort
is made to make every dollar count. Families matter.
Financial Integrity in Fund Raising
We believe the way an organization handles its financial resources is a
reflection of its integrity in every other area. Therefore, we have
established the following policies on the way our resources are used:
- This Center belongs to the community, not to any individual, the Board,
nor the Staff.
- We will devote every effort to provide programs to strengthen and
support families who are the foundation of our community and society.
- One of the ways we can determine the continuation of programs is
through the support we receive. During lean times, we will make our
obligations known to our friends. We will never resort to what we
consider to be disrespectful and dishonorable methods of fund-raising.
- Our obligation is to spend the monies we receive in a conservative
manner.
- We will not make a practice of operating the agency at a deficit.
From time to time, it may be necessary to borrow funds for large capital
expenditures; however, we will seek to repay the loan as soon as possible.
- We will receipt all donations, showing the value of any benefits
received in order to help contributors determine the tax-deductible portion
of their gifts.
- When we make a purchase, we will pay the invoice within 30 days, if
possible, so not to use the vendor's money.
- We will maintain the confidentiality of the contribution records of our
donors.
- The Board, volunteers, and staff will be the primary
fund-raisers. We will not make a practice of hiring professional
fund-raisers.
- We will never sell or rent our mailing list to those wishing to use the
names and addresses of our supporters.
- Our financial records will be audited annually by a certified public
accountant.
Everything we do is made possible through your commitment
and generosity. Thank you for helping us continue...
